Possible questions to ask God:

• So Paul got to Rome after all. In Romans 15 he said I wanted to visit there. Did he realized how you fulfilled his plans?
• Did Paul’s calmness about the snake mean we should be calmer about risks in our lives?
• Paul spent a couple years in lots of places. He wasn’t as mobile as I thought. Did you do that to let him make disciples instead of converts?

Acts 27

Possible questions to ask God:

• God, this looks like the ship just kept having incredibly bad luck. Was it that or were you trying to help Paul have a message of some sort?
• Does this mean that people who follow you can expect shipwrecks, and that’s part of the plan?
• This would have been terrifying and life-threatening, except that no lives were really threatened, at least by you God, right?

Acts 25:13-26:32

Possible questions to ask God:

• Holy Spirit, did Agrippa listen to you at all when he was listening to Paul?
• Is that what it took for Paul to speak with leaders? Being in prison?

Acts 24:1-25:12

Possible questions to ask God:

• God, how did you leave Paul in jail for two years. Just sitting there.
• Holy Spirit, did Felix listen to you at all when he was listening to Paul?
• Is that what it took for Paul to speak with leaders? Being in prison?

Acts 22:23-23:35

Possible questions to ask God:

• God, how many times do people think they are defending you when they are really defending their positions?
• God, just wondering how old the nephew was…and what Paul’s family thought of him. Had they been upset when he went over to the other side?
• God, Paul’s dual citizenship was pretty convenient. Did you plan that?

Possible questions to ask God:

• Holy Spirit, did you want Paul to stop, or did you want him to just know it would be tough?
• Jesus, it feels like it was really complicated to sort through exactly what it meant to follow you even then. Am I right?

Possible questions to ask God:

• Jesus, how often are economics at the root of our questions about faith, like in Ephesus?
• Holy Spirit, was Paul as human as he sounds, worrying about schedules and travel plans?
• People fall asleep in church all the time. What should I learn about this young man that died?

• The weaving of the paths of Paul, Aquila, Priscilla and Apollos… how did you do that?
• Could you let me know that even though there will be trouble, you’ll be with me?

• Holy Spirit, why couldn’t you tell Paul when to get out of town to avoid the arguments? Or were they part of the point?

• Could you help me be more of a Berean?
